• Computer modelling and simulation of physical systems using MATLAB or Scilab, e.g. to evaluate an inventor's concept.
• Firmware development in assembler or C for PIC based embedded systems.
• Consultation on renewable energy systems (wind and solar).
• Technical writing, e.g. user manuals etc.
• Preparing documents in LaTeX from plain text or MS Word.

I have more than 35 years experience in the electronics industry as circuit designer and firmware developer in projects ranging from telecommunications to vehicle tracking. In later years I have been employed as Research Engineer, and developed skills in computer modelling and simulation. Most of my research activities were energy-related.

Other skills acquired during my career include technical wrtiting, research and report writing, programming in Pascal and C. I am also mathematically proficient with a good grasp of applied mathematics, the Kalman filter, etc.
